The policy brief is a joint publication of Asia Floor Wage Alliance (AFWA), Feminist Alliance for Rights (FAR), and Global Labor Justice (GLJ). The recommendations in the policy brief were shaped by the Practitioners’ Expert Virtual Convening, which brought together worker advocates, feminists, and UN entities.

The policy brief highlights women’s paid and unpaid labor as the cornerstone of gender equality, and specifically addresses gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work. The brief demonstrates the links between ILO Convention 190 (ILO C190) and two critical areas of concern within Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPfA): violence against women, and women and the economy, and provides recommendations to governments and multilateral institutions.
